What our Guests say
Highly recommend this restaurant 👍🏻
Food was super delicious, We got the steak, fish of the day and lamb. They were super polite and kind hearted waiter and waitress. Complementary chocolate cake as well for redo of steak but 2nd serving was done with perfection!<br>The ambience is also superb with minimalistic lighting and a very authentic setting.

The staff was very dedicated and super friendly
We ordered the chicken and the fish of the day as our main courses, and for starters, we had the parmesan soup and the burrata (with added salmon). Everything was absolutely delicious, but we especially want to highlight the soup — it was exquisite and a must-try if you’re a cheese lover 🧀.

Food was absolutely excellent and service really nice and friendly. This place cares greatly about creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere, you can see it in all the small details, decorations and fresh flowers.

So glad we stumbled on this place!
Our meal was fantastic! So glad we stumbled on this place after a long day of driving. We had the three-course meal and it was our favorite meal in Iceland! The staff was so lovely as well (I didn’t get his name but he was so welcoming and attentive).

I’m shocked this place doesn’t have more reviews
Wow, we randomly stumbled upon this place while driving in the area and this might be one of the best meals I’ve had in iceland. We got the lobster and shrimp as a starter and it was the perfect level of creamy and peppery! We then had the lamb and fish of the day which were both 10/10. The sauces were AMAZING and the fish and lamb were juicy and tender. The blueberry cheesecake was soft and not too sweet which I love!

This restaurant is 100% worth recommending! 🌟
Although it’s a bit hidden and sometimes might seem like there aren’t many people inside, it’s honestly one of the best places we’ve tried in Iceland! It may look more expensive than it actually is, but the prices are very similar to most restaurants in the country. The menu is quite short, but I have to say that wasn’t a downside at all.

Every item we had was delicious!
We stopped in for a spur of the moment visit on our way out of the Snæfellsjökull National Park. Every item we had was delicious! A cocktail with unique flavor combinations, fresh fish, delicious fresh vegetables (prepared with great flavors) juicy chicken… We would highly recommend this place!

Great food and service
You can get a perfect soft beef tenderloin, lamb fillet or fresh fish of the day. The deserts are also fantastic. I loved the blueberry cheese cake. The restaurant is beautiful, built in an old barn. Lava field all around and a geothermal bath. What a majestic place.

It not only tested good it’s looks so great
A very good dinner we got at Hladan Restaurant. It not only tested good it’s looks so great. Excellent staff there. We stayed at there house. So beautiful nature all around. The it’s the Icelandic sheep dog name Prince that’s outside.

This was a wonderful dining experience
I had the Parmesan soup - so yummy!! My husband had the mushroom soup - delicious. We both had a Roasted vegetable medley - just awesome. The service was great, making the experience even better. My husband is a vegetarian and the chef was will to make any meal using tofu for the protein rather than what was listed on the menu - that's a special courtesy.

The place itself was truly impressive
The service - fantastic. The restaurant's staff is super polite, kind and cares about the tiniest details so that everything goes perfectly. The food - absolutely delicious. 200% worth recommending!

The best meal we had in Iceland!!
Yes it’s on the pricier side but definitely worth it. We did two 3 course meals and it filled us up at a happy level, not too little or too full. The lobster and shrimp appetizer were amazing! I’d order that over and over.

The fish was outstanding!!
My hubby, parents and 2 year old daughter came here for an impromptu dinner whilst in Iceland! It was one of the best meals we ever had! And a great price. Delicious blue ling fish, don’t google what they look like, just taste it- the fish was outstanding!! Fresh deliciously prepared veggies and yummy cocktails.
